Proud History

John J. Harvey Today

The fireboat Harvey is an integral part of New York's maritime history. In recognition of this, the United States Government placed her on the The National Register of Historic Places on 15 June 2000.

Her continued success depends on many people: those that have brought her this far, and those that will be needed to keep her going.

This story was written prior to the events of 11 September 2001. Click here for more information on our role in the aftermath of the World Trade Center disaster.
